THE LORGAIRS

At first I thought it was a shadow. A hound-like figure appeared before us out of thin air as if it were made of smoke, rearing its head to reveal rows of bright white teeth.
I began to mumble something to my sister about having turned down the wrong road, but it was clear she wasn’t listening, nor was she looking at what was blocking the road ahead. for reasons I was about to discover the hard way, she was too busy staring into her rear view mirror.
